I need your input!!
As most of you know, I try to give my clients as many proofs as possible from their session. Sometimes this is less than 100, and sometimes it's over 200. It gets a little crazy at times, but I love being able to give a variety.
Now I'm starting to think that maybe I should just narrow the proofs down to 50 or so and put a cap on it. Even if I take 200 pictures, I'll narrow them down and only show the client those 50. How does that sound to you? I'm worried that I may be overwhelming clients with the large number of proofs. :)
I'm also planning on shortening my order time sometime in the near future. With more and more sessions, I have literally no space on my computer anymore. I'm backing everything up, but as you can imagine all of the "active" sessions need to be on the computer for easy and quick access for editing and ordering. I'm going to shorten the ordering time to two weeks for all sessions and one month for weddings. I understand that money is an issue there, so I will be more than willing to work with anyone in payments for your portraits.
So... here's the poll. Would you rather see ALL of the final images from your session, or would you rather just see the 30-50 favorites??

Could you give the client an option? Cause personally, I would love to see ALL the proofs. But, if not, then shoot for maybe the 75-100 range.
That's just my opinion. And by the way, I tried to call you yesterday cause I wanted to get up with you for lunchables or something. I'm not sure I have the right number anymore... lol
I'd love to give the option!! I'm still afraid that everyone would choose the greater option and then get overwhelmed. :( It seems to be that everyone gets overwhelmed with the large number of proofs and then they let their proofs expire before ordering because they can't choose what prints they want. lol.
You probably have the right number... I haven't changed it. I, on the other hand, have NO numbers because Charlee decided that she would like to play hide & seek with mommy's phone a few weeks ago. It took 3 days of searching up and down before I said okay, I HAVE to have a phone... so we got a new one. :D Text me sometime so I'll have yours!! I'm always hesitant to answer when I don't know the number... although now, I don't know any numbers. LOL
